The Mamore Forest covers over 45,000 acres in area and extends in height from lochside sea level to eight magnificent peaks all over 3,000ft.

Miles of old stalking tracks and pony paths provide access to all parts of the area, giving you the choice of easier low-level walks, or of breathtaking, and more strenuous high-ridge walks, all from the lodge itself.

Mamore is also a welcome sight for many long distance walkers of the West Highland Way, which runs within a few hundred yards of the Lodge, and before the last leg of the walk which ends in Fort William.

The Lodge has fishing rights on nearby Loch Eilde Mor, and Loch Eilde Beag in quite, unspoilt surroundings. It is also well situated for exploring the West Highlands by car, with many beautiful areas within a comfortable day-trip.

Whatever you decide to do though, there will always be a warm welcome on your return.
